DANBURY -- Police on Thursday arrested a motorist who left an accident scene after his car crashed into a parked vehicle, a Danbury police spokesman said.
James Weisew, 21, of Surrey Drive in Brookfield, was pulled over by police about 1:45 a.m. on Pleasant Street, a short distance from where the accident happened, the spokesman said Friday. He was not injured.
Police said that it appeared Weisew had been drinking and a field sobriety test was administered.
Weisew was charged with evading responsibility, operating under the influence of alcohol, and failure to drive right, police said.
